Another Embarrassment...

It seems there is no end to the embarrassing revelations of hypocritical influential Christians these days. The latest is Rep. Mark Souder (R-Ind.) who is "an evangelical Christian who has championed family values and traditional marriage" and "promoted abstinence education" according to Yahoo.
Seems he also managed to squeeze an extramarital affair into his work as well. I understand that every one of us is a sinner, but with all these high-profile Christians getting caught cheating or perpetrating sexual abuse, it's not surprising that many people have turned away from churches disgusted with the hypocricy. To all Christians out there, and especially those in influential positions, PLEASE remember the world is watching you (not to mention God!) and act accordingly. Better yet, keep your faith out of your politics, and let your humble actions and attitude of service speak for themselves... you'd be surprised how quickly people would start wondering aloud whether you were a Christian due to your shining example... I can personally vouch for this method's effectiveness. Loudly proclaiming your faith while acting like a drunken sailor is extremely counterproductive.
