Sleep
Wow. I think I lost the ability to be tired. I'm not quite sure why. It all started one dark and stormy Thursday night long ago.... Ok it was last Thursday and while it was dark it wasn't stormy that I recall. Anyhow, Since I knew I only had one class to make on Friday and that the weekend was coming right after, I figured I would procrastinate on my homework for most of the night... I finally went to bed at 5:20am and got up a little more than 3 hours later. Well, I was wide awake in class. I was wide awake in chapel. I was wide awake when changing my oil. And I barely managed to squeeze in 30 minutes of sleep during a 2 hour block of time I reserved for a nap before supper. After supper I was planning on going to bed after a short time of internet surfing. Well, I just never got tired! 1 am came and I figured I should really go to bed. But I was still so awake it took me another hour to fall asleep! Then I woke up at 11:30. I never wake up that early on Saturday mornings. Never. Especially after 3 hours of sleep the previous night. Then, all day Saturday, I'm wide awake. Went to bed at 2:30 Saturday night (1:30 actually because of the time change) and was wide awake next morning at 9:30 (a full half hour before my alarm went off!) and I have been wide awake ever since. This, when I used to sleep 12 hours at a time no problem. And used to be tired all day long after a short night. Very interesting. But, I'm not gonna complain! :)

Badnarik
So its a bit dated... but its a good way for those of you who *ahem* don't like to read to learn about the libertarian party... btw, if you live in Texas, he's running for congress this year. Also check out libertarian tv on the web.
Well I'm not sure whether to laugh, cry, or scream! But I suppose it does go to show how respected libertarians are becoming when a candidate will outright lie to try and make himself appealing to libertarians... too bad we aren't so easily fooled!
Grrrrr
Today was an excellent day. I knew the answers to almost all of the questions on my microeconomics midterm. I didn't feel very tired. I went to gadfly, shen bloc, swim club, and my floor bonfire. And left every one except the last one before it was over lol. Oh, and I called and talked with my good friend Derek. But. Someone. Stole. From. Me. Gone are 3 phone cards. Ok, so yeah, they were free to me and therefore not much of a loss. But come on! Why would anyone steal them from me? If you had only asked I would have been happy to give them to you. Of much more import to me is the fact that the cable used to connect my digital camera to my computer is also gone. The cable. Hello? What are you going to do with the cable? Tie someone up? Luckily I found another way to download my photos. But please, if you are reading this, I would really like my USB camera connecter cable back.

Break, and Swing Dancing

So Friday night my friends Wes, Lindsay, Annie, and I went to a swing dance up in Rochester... which was a very interesting but quite enjoyable experience. See, I have never done any swing dancing before, and the 45 minute lesson we had before the dance started wasn't enough to do more than just teach the basics... but Wes had only been to one swing dance before and Lindsay and Annie were in the same boat I was, so I was in good company lol. But by the end of the night I had nearly mastered what had been taught in the lesson (only took 3 hours... what? haha) and had nearly stopped looking like a robot. Anyway, after the dance (by now it's 11pm) we went to this really nice coffee shop along with Wes's friends Claire and Bridget, who had met us at the dance. We spent a good 90 minutes chatting and laughing and generally having a grand ole time. Then there was the drive back to school where we got turned around at this one particular intersection a couple times and almost missed an exit... oops! Oh, and then there was the stoplight that we sat at for 10 minutes with no change! And its 1am and no traffic! In a small town! Why the lights were even on at that time I have no idea but I wasn't about to run the light what with a cop car parked right across the intersection... So I ended up turning right instead (still slightly illegal since it was across 3 lanes but what was I gonna do?) and turning around further up the street. Came back and saw that the cop car was empty anyways. Figures. Well the rest of the trip was pretty much filled with us singing Reliant K songs a cappella, lol we didn't sound too good but it was fun anyways... So yeah that was the exciting happenings of break for me... besides waking up in the pm every day... :)

What luck! ... and gee, what luck
The tortured twisting burning desires
of my mind are writhing with furious force inside me
screaming LET ME OUT!
for my true nature is to let the truth always be told
I pride myself
on never hiding anything from my friends
yet what can I do
for if I let it out
I may ruin the best
the only
wonderfully glorious
thing I have always wished for
and throw it away like so much
dust on a blustery day in the desert...
Please God, show me a way
or increase my patience
or I may just wither away
consumed by the forces
of civil war within me...
this may be
the biggest and most important test
of my entire life
of my mind are writhing with furious force inside me
screaming LET ME OUT!
for my true nature is to let the truth always be told
I pride myself
on never hiding anything from my friends
yet what can I do
for if I let it out
I may ruin the best
the only
wonderfully glorious
thing I have always wished for
and throw it away like so much
dust on a blustery day in the desert...
Please God, show me a way
or increase my patience
or I may just wither away
consumed by the forces
of civil war within me...
this may be
the biggest and most important test
of my entire life
Yay for Procrastination!
So Tuesday night was super fun... I was very glad (and lucky) that Prof. Black postponed our micro midterm... but I still had that dang 5 page paper due for Political Thought class... and of course I had to procrastinate a good part of the day. Well I finally start working on my paper like 8 pm and get it nearly finished by 1:45 am (with only minor procrastination during this time). Then I get involved in this long IM convo/video conference with two friends and that goes till 3:30, but it was the most fun I have had on a computer in a long time... yeah I'm horrible... So paper didn't get done til 4:15 am... boy was Wednesday a long day! Well I got a couple naps in so it wasn't too bad. Yeah so um... I need to stop procrastinating... LOL, hope you all had a good laugh at my stupidity :)

Another day wasted...
So today I slept in till 11:30. oops. I figured my 1am bed time, which occurred after a lovely leaf fight that followed Pirates of the Carribean 2, should be good for a 10am rising. Wrong. Then Superman had to be watched this afternoon... it ran an hour longer than I thought it would... then I had to go to Wally World to get supplies... then a short hour easily wasted before a lovely piano performance by Leon Fleisher... then another hour and a half wasted reading blogs... brings us to now, and its bedtime, and I have yet to do any homework... Ah well this is where the Procrastinators line comes in: "Well, there's always tomorrow" :) hehe but I really must not waste tomorrow as I have *gulp* 4 *counts to make sure... drats yup, 4* major things due this week and its only a 3 day school week!!!... ah well... more updates later...
